Thursday ... I'm having a friend come over today to take photos of the girls. I can't wait! I've never had proper photos taken of the girls together so it'll be nice to have some.

Aaron's going away on Sunday for 4 days. I'm not looking forward to that. I guess I can't complain though - he doesn't go away very often. At least I'll have the tv and the bed all to myself for 4 days!

I did something yesterday I've never done before ... I cleaned the washing machine and I mean CLEANED it! It was a horrible job! Have you ever pulled your washing machine apart, bit by bit, and cleaned each part individually? It's a BIG job. It looks like a brand new washing machine now though! Next job is to clean the laundry - yuck!

Anyway, I'm off to get the girls all dolled up for their photos now. See Ya!

Today's Update

Today has been great so far. Aaron has got the day off so we are on our way out for a drive with the girls - we're going wherever the car will take us! It will be nice to get out and about on this fantastic day! The weather is starting to cool down again which is good. The weather has been crazy lately - hot one day, cold the next!

Ashleigh has been playing with the dolls her aunty Mandy bought her and hasn't put them down! She misses her so much. Hopefully we'll get a chance to fly over to New Zealand to visit with them again soon. It's on the cards - it's just a matter of when!

Lauren is finally starting to get over her bronchitis which is good. She hasn't been very well at all lately - very clingy! I took the girls to the Pet Store yesterday and it just so happened that they had a Wildlife show on so we got to see and pat pythons, a baby crocodile, a bat, a possum with it's babies, an owl, a blue tongue lizard (we found out that they love to eat snails and slugs that's why the one living in our backyard has been hanging around!). It was amazing to pat all these scary animals!

Well, we're off to go for a drive now! See ya!

Sad Goodbye ...

Well, we said goodbye to Aunty Mandy and Uncle Richard yesterday. Ashleigh called me on the way home from the airport after dropping them off in tears saying that she missed Aunty Mandy and that she didn't want her to go. It was so cute! She loved playing Barbies with Aunty Mandy and generally talking her ear off!

I took the girls to the shops this morning and got 10 weekly videos for $10. It has been keeping Ashleigh amused for a while. I went for a long drive to pick up some bar stools I won on eBay this afternoon and I love them. They look great!

Tomorrow we're off to the library to pick up some books to read during the holidays. Luckily Ashleigh loves books and always enjoys going to the library!

I Solemnly Swear ...

"I solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth ..."

How cute is little Lauren! We were playing around with the camera and came up with these cute shots!

Happy Easter!

I am sitting here with a mouth full of easter egg happy as Larry enjoying Easter morn! I went for a walk this morning with Amanda - second day in a row! It's about time I started walking again! I feel so good after walking! Now I can eat more easter eggs since I've exercised! Isn't that how it works?!?!

Ashleigh was so excited this morning when she woke up to a room full of easter eggs. The easter bunny had paid her a visit! She is pacing herself nicely which is surprising! She hasn't gorged herself on chocolate all morning thankfully. She is more interested in playing Barbie's with her Aunty Mandy! Lucky Aunty Mandy! I wonder who is having the most fun - Ashleigh or Amanda? Amanda seems to be enjoying it a bit too much :)

Lauren only got a small easter egg but is happy wandering from person to person taking a bite of their easter egg along the way! Here are some photos of the girls.

Finished at Last!

Well I have finally finished the canvas for my friend that I have been working on for days! It took me weeks to get inspiration for this but I finally thought of something to paint that I hope she will like. I think she comes home from her honeymoon tomorrow so I finished it just in time! Here it is.

Lauren and I have had a good week this week. We have potted around the house and gone shopping and been preparing the house for Amanda and Richard's arrival on Friday afternoon! I have to say, I don't know what Lauren would do without our cat Thomas. She just adores him. She gets so excited when he enters the room and she makes a b-line for him everytime so she can squash him with her hugs! He is so tolerant of her. Here is a cute photo of them.

Mr Frog!

We got home the other night and found a cute little frog on the wall at our front door. Ashleigh wanted to pick it up and keep it! I told her that frogs belonged outside - she didn't see the point of that!

Easter Creation

I have finally made some easter decorations! I spray painted some twigs white and decorated some eggs. It's the first time I've ever blown eggs and it was quite easy! I am quite happy with the finished product! I also cut out some egg shapes and put them into a photo frame - very simple but effective! Here are the photos!

By way of explanation, it is believed that the oval shape of the easter egg was the same shape for a raindrop and a seed. These two are important life-giving elements. The egg itself promises new life as in spring, birds, and many other animals that are hatched from eggs. This represents the resurrection of Christ, or Christ coming back to life! As with the easter bunny - the rabbit represents the beginning of spring and new life!

Easter Bunny!

It's been a busy week this week but a good one! I have my candle party on this Saturday which should be good! Hopefully I'll get lots of free candles!

I was on canteen duty all day yesterday. Boy, it can be full-on! I really enjoy it though! You get to know a lot of what's going on at the school.

I finally finished one canvas and will start on the other one on the weekend probably. I painted this one for Kym but I don't really like it. It didn't come out quite like I had planned so I am going to do a different one for her.

I took some photos of the girls today in preparation for easter! I think they look adorable!

Sunday - A Day Of Rest

This afternoon Aaron had to work so I took the girls down to the local water hole - actually I'm not sure what you would call it - a pond or creek? Anyway, we had a lovely afternoon feeding the ducks and having a picnic by the side of the creek. There were a lot of people out - some were fishing, some were riding bikes and others were catching tadpoles! It was picture perfect really. It wasn't too hot and not too cold - just right! I think we'll do it more often! Here are some photos!

My good friend Kym got married yesterday! Congrats girl!! It was a gorgeous wedding! The bride was stunning, the flowers were gorgeous and the venue was beautiful! I was able to catch up with all my old work friends which was good. I was a bit worried about Aaron not having anybody to talk to but he managed to find a quite a few people to chat with and he actually enjoyed himself!! I hope you don't mind Kym but I just had to put in a picture of you - you looked amazing!

Garage Sale!

Well, it's Saturday and we were up and about early to do our usual thing - GARAGE SALING! The last few weeks haven't been that great but today we picked up some good bargains! Below is a photo of some plants we got for $5! The pots alone would have cost more than that! Apparently these plants will flower a pretty purple flower. Ashleigh picked herself up a couple of Bratz dolls for $2 each and they are in excellent condition! She was very happy about that! The best buy was some school shoes for Ash for only $3. They are the exact same type as the ones she currently has (only in the next size up!) and they don't even look like they have been worn! I also picked up some cute country stuff for myself!

On our way home from the garage sales Ashleigh threw up all over me - NICE!. Who knows what made her sick but I can tell you it nearly made me throw up having her vomit all over me on the LONG drive home!

Anyway, we're off to a wedding this afternoon. It'll be so nice to have the afternoon away from the girls. I love them to death but it's so nice to have time alone with hubby and not have to worry about kids all the time!
