Bubbles!

Well we took the girls out this morning to get some photos taken at the park and just when we were getting warmed up Lauren decided to pee her pants - literally!!!

Unfortunately we had to cut our photographic session short so we could get a change of clothes for her but we still managed to get some good shots in before she "let go". Here are just a couple.

I'm getting some photos taken of the girls tomorrow morning from a friend of mine - CAN'T WAIT.

She takes fantastic photos and I can't wait to see what she comes up with. I'll keep you posted.


Lauren's toilet training is going really well. She's in "big girl pants" (undies) through the day and most nights she wakes up with a dry nappy. It gets a bit complicated when you're all dressed up and need to wee .....

Painting Complete

I finally finished my canvas today.



It's one of my favourites so far.

I actually promised this one to Mum but if she doesn't like it I'll keep it myself! It's so easy to make and fun too so I'm sure I'll be making more!!

Not much else going on at the moment.

Happy Easter!

What a busy week! I've had two days of painting a canvas for a friend - see the finished product below. Then I had to go and help out at Ashleigh's school - making hairy heads! Then I had to get creative and make an Easter bonnet for Ashleigh to parade at school. Pretty poor effort but at least she had a hat to wear on the day - plus she liked it!!

I must admit, I've been a bit slack this easter. No decorations and not much thought went in to gifts this year either. However, I was spoiled .... here's what I got from Aaron this year ....




I know it's not made of chocolate but I've been wanting a new watch for about a year now!! I like!

I'm cursed I tell you! I had 3 days off from being sick and then on Friday night I started to get a sore throat again! I can't believe how sick I've been lately. So I'm off to the doctor AGAIN tomorrow!

Lucky girl hey!

We had a visit from an unexpected creature the other night. Aaron thinks it's a moth but I think it's a butterfly because it has pretty colours on it! What do you think? It was massive - a lot bigger in real life!


In this picture Ashleigh didn't actually know that she was posing in front of a huge butterfly - I just told her to back up to the wall so I could take her photo. I'm not sure if she would be smiling quite so much if she knew what was right beside her head!


Still not feeling great. Went to the doctor today and he said that I had a very red throat and badly swollen glands. He put me on really strong antibiotics and told me that I should feel 100% by tomorrow. Fingers crossed. It feels like I'm swollowing razor blades at the moment. I've never had such a sore throat before!

Below is a photo of Lauren's BIG GIRL BED. She is loving it! She's out of the cot now and loves being in a bed like Ashleigh's. She has done really well in it. Hasn't fallen out once - yet!


Anyway, hope you're all well. I'm off to go and watch Lost and then off to bed for me!!



Gloria - I read your blog and I'm thinking I might read A Million Little Pieces myself. I wanted to read it when there was all that hype about it but then when I found out it wasn't a true story it kind of put me off but I think I might give it a try anyway.

Sick of being Sick!

That just about sums it up!

I've had a head cold for over a week now and I'm OVER IT! Headaches, body aches, blocked nose, coughing - it sucks to be me right now!

That's why I haven't blogged all week - too sick to drag myself to the computer! That and the fact that I have had nothing to comment on - just me lying around feeling sorry for myself.

I can't wait for the day that I can go to the toilet without an audience and without general comments from my kids. For example, if Lauren sees that I've gone to the toilet she says "Good girl Mummy, well done!". As you can guess that's what I say to her every time she uses the potty!

"Yeah thanks sweetie, it's only taken me 32 years to get it all down pat".

I'm having a problem with Ashleigh biting her nails at the moment. She bites them all the time - it's to the point now that I turn to her say "Do you want a bit of salt with that?". Any ideas on how to stop her biting? I must say, I've always been a nail biter so I know where she gets it from!
