Lauren's Blood Test

Today we took Lauren in for her blood test and I have to say she was a very brave little girl! Of course she cried the entire time but she didn't scream which is what I was expecting. They took 3 vials of blood and it was the longest 5 minutes of my life - and Lauren's life for that matter I'm sure!! We won't get the results for another month unfortunately but at least we'll find out what is the cause of her slow development. If the results come back normal then she will have to go under general anaesthetic and get an MRI. I hope it doesn't come to that because she is still so young! Below is a photo of Lauren's hand where she had the blood test and also a picture of Ashleigh with crazy hair after towel drying it.

We are all doing really well. Ashleigh has started up swimming again this term and absolutely loves it! She is a great swimmer and she just loves the water. Her reading is improving and she loves school.

I am going for an interview on Friday with an employment agency to get some part-time temp work. I can't wait! It will be good to go back to work and experience work life once again! It's good because now that Aaron's home during the day I can go out to work and then when I get home he can go to work - Tag Team! That way we won't have to put Lauren into day care.

Well that's it for now. I'll keep you posted about Lauren's tests!

Our Trip To Wollongong

We went to Wollongong on the weekend and went for a drive to Scarborough where the new bridge is that was built ON the ocean. It's such a nice drive - I think Aaron and I enjoyed it more than the girls but it's definitely something EVERYONE must do before they die - it's sooooo pretty! I have posted some photos of our trip:

Here is a photo of a church that has been converted into a house! It's so quaint - looks so much better in real life - the lighting was bad as it was quite dark when I took this photo.

We have all been sick with the vomiting bug! I swear I have never been so sick in all my life! Lauren got it first, then she gave it to me and I graciously passed it on to Aaron! Ashleigh managed to escape it luckily! I still feel really queezy!

Other than that we're all doing really well!

Sick Babies

Well, the first day of holidays started with Ashleigh having a temperature of 40 degrees. We took her to the doctor and she is now on antibiotics. She was not well at all that first day, in fact, we had our next door neighbours over to play and after half an hour Paige came out saying "Ashleigh has fallen asleep on her bed while we were playing around her". Poor thing! She was so tired. I took a photo to prove it.

We went to go and see "Over the Hedge" with Taylor on Tuesday and the girls loved it! It's great she is now at an age where she will sit through a movie! It was a fun day out.

I've got a clothes party on here tomorrow night. It will be interesting to see what the clothes look like - hopefully they will be good. I was roped into having it for one of the Mum's at Ash's school. This is going to be the last party I have for a while!

We found out yesterday that Lauren has a "type of asthma". She is on ventolin and has been coughing her head off morning and night! It keeps her up at night and she hasn't been having a day sleep because it wakes her up. Hopefully the Ventolin will start working soon and it will get rid of her cough!
