Star of the Week!
Ashleigh is star of the week this week! Every week there is a star of the week and this week it's Ashleigh's turn! She has to take a box of "treasured things" in to show to the class - it's a little bit like show and tell but it lasts a week! Ashleigh had to get up in front of her class and tell them a little bit about herself - what her favourite colour is (pink), favourite activity (playing with her cousin Taylor), favourite toy (Bratz dolls) and her favourite book (Piglet and Mama). Her teacher, Miss Short, said that she did such a great job reading her book all by herself that she sent her down to the Principal, Mrs Poole, to read it to her. Mrs Poole was really impressed and gave Ash a gold medal sticker. She was so proud of herself and so are we!!!

Girl Power!!
Here is a cute photo of Ashleigh and me having some quiet time on my bed. She loves lying on our bed and just talking about "things". She has a lot of dreams - and an active imagination! She talks about the funniest things! She can't wait until school holidays next week!!! We're going to take her to see 'Over the Hedge' and she can't wait!

Ashleigh's encounter with the pavement!
Here are some photos of Ashleigh's sore nose. She fell off the wall out the front of our house and grazed her nose on the neighbours driveway - ouch!! What a clown! I'm just glad we didn't have school photos on the next day because there was a nice scab that followed!
THANKS FOR THE JACKETS GRANDMA STANLEY!! The girls love their new jackets sent over from Grandma Stanley. They look absolutely gorgeous!
Lauren's First Hair Cut
Here are some photos of Lauren's very first hair cut! It's a bit hard to see but she had most of her curls cut off but not all of them thankfully! She sat very still for the hairdresser - only because she was given a lolly! Now we don't have to tackle all her knots in the morning!
She is growing up so fast and is such a happy girl!
Got a phone call from my good friend Renee (hi girl!) and we have finally managed to set a date for me to go and spend a few days with her and to meet her two kids - Jake and Jessica! Thankfully it's in September so I won't be there for the freezing Melbourne weather! Counting down the days!!

Spoilt Tom!
I went in to check on Ashleigh the other night and found Thomas sitting on her bed - and Ashleigh was still wide awake! Poor Thomas is really feeling the cold and loves to curl up on Ashleigh's bed (don't worry he's wormed and de-flead!). She had put her favourite blanky on top of him to keep him warm - how cute! The girls just love him.

Ashleigh's 5th Birthday
Ashleigh had a great birthday this year! Turning 5 has never been so good! She took some cupcakes in to school on Friday to celebrate her birthday. She had lots of fun making them and the kids had lots of fun eating them!! Then on Friday night we had the family over for dinner and cake! Ash always enjoys celebrating with her cousins! She had fun playing whac-a-mole with her cousins, the only problem is Harrison mistook Georgia for a mole and wacked her on the face! Ouch!!
On Saturday she had her birthday party with her school friends! There were 19 kids there so needless to say it was a bit chaotic. Thankfully we had the party at McDonalds and they ran the show for me! She had so much fun and so did the other kids! She got lots of nice presents from all of her friends - it was like Christmas!! 19 presents to open all to herself! She was a very lucky girl this year! Here are some photos!
A special thanks to everyone who sent her pressies from NZ - she loved them all!
